Back in 2005, I decided to assemble a four man crew of myself, and three of the illest artists I knew at that time to form an art crew…not a studio…but a collective of artists to meet up at least four times a year to put out an art collection of our works in the form of quarterly art books.  We started on getting our pieces together, but other obligations and the distance between the members, we parted ways before anything was ever printed. Now fast forward, five years later, my mission to resurrect the crew with new members is a success.  And this crew of artists are just as LETHAL as the orginal.

WHAT’S THE STATUS OF THE ANIMATION?

Right now JET BOY’s animated series IS IN PRODUCTION! Micheal Sofoluke, director/designer of the musical group GORILLAZ music videos, and various animated projects(like the commercials for the video game ROCK BAND), is heading up the animation process. Micheal just sent me new animated story boards for the new teaser trailers(plural). And we hope to have the pilot done by the end of this year. Where the pilot ends up as far as network television is STILL UP IN THE AIR! Over the past 5 years we spoke to several different networks, some of which promised us things and didn’t come through. That’s the nature of the business I guess. But the one thing about talented friends, they show you that you can make your own way! So myself and a few friends have developed a network that will run here on the website. The network will run all original programming including the JET BOY pilot once it’s finished.

WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THE JET BOY COMIC?

The JET BOY limited series, JET BOY: ALL JETS GO! was pushed back TWICE! The last date given was JULY of this year to coincide with the SAN DIEGO COMIC CON, but since I won’t be attending the event this year, the FINAL release for the comic will be in OCTOBER 2010 to debut at the NEW YORK COMIC CON! We are working on the book now. I got my team FITE KLUB working on it along with me. It’s going to be killer. And there are a few suprises attached to it. An added plus.

WHO IS DOING THE PUBLISHING OF THE JET BOY COMIC?
There have been several spots where JET BOY was going to be seen in print. The final decision was made to do self publishing, BUT, as fate would have it, we are in talks now with a MAJOR comic company about the distribution of the JET BOY series. And once the deal is inked and final, I will be able to discuss it a bit freely here on the site! But when everything is finalized with them, it will be a good “LOOK” for JET BOY! (that was a hint by the way…)

WILL THE ANIMATED PROJECT BE IN 3D OR 2D ANIMATION?

We are shooting for a bit of both. The look that I’m going for is more along the lines of the GORILLAZ animated shorts. How they incorporate the those two dimensions is so awesome that it’s not obvious like most animated shows. movies, etc., that merge the two together.

FINALLY, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT PLANNED JET BOY VIDEO GAME?

The JET BOY video game idea is, for the time being, DEAD! It was an idea that was brought forth by people who were in my circle about three years ago and the project got the green light for development and looked very promising, but in the end, the parties involved just couldn’t get it together enough to make it work the way I hoped it would. So as of the moment…the video game project is dead until we get the animation up and running.

The name HERMOLAOS means, “people of hermes”. Those familiar with greek mythology knows the meaning of hermes is “guide to the underworld, or hell”.  The last name, ALATYRTSEV, means “abusive or violent”. A fitting name for a person of his calibur. DARK SPROCKET’S armor does more than just preserve his life, but it is also fitted with high tech weaponry supplied by the K.R.O.N.O.S. organization that allows DARK SPROCKET to fufill his tasks. Possibly one of JET BOY’S most skilled adversaries, DARK SPROCKET has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with.
