The most menacing of villians in JET BOY’S rogues gallery is the russian super-spy DARK SPROCKET.  JET BOY’S main duty is to protect a mysterious piece of technology that the K.R.O.N.O.S. organization wants to get their hands on. With a stable of agents/spies worldwide, DARK SPROCKET is their Russian fighting machine. HERMOLAOS ALATYRTSEV was a soldier in the RUSSIAN GROUND FORCES. But his actions were starting to get a bit out of control. His bloodlust and need for violence and war, caused the forces to turn against him. In an effort to put an end to his outrageous tactics, the RGF decided to use extreme measures by trapping him in a cave lined with demolition charges and blowing him up…but the soldier survived. The founding members of the K.R.O.N.O.S. organization got wind of this, and once discovering HERMOLAOS lived through the attempt “barely”, they picked up what was left of the soldier and fitted him with life preserving armor. Along with the promise, that he would indeed get revenge on the persons responsible for trying to end his life. With K.R.O.N.O.S. holding up their end of the bargain,  HERMOLAOS agreed to join the organization under the codename, DARK SPROCKET, a name the helms from the sprockets used to repair his failing heart.

The name HERMOLAOS means, “people of hermes”. Those familiar with greek mythology knows the meaning of hermes is “guide to the underworld, or hell”.  The last name, ALATYRTSEV, means “abusive or violent”. A fitting name for a person of his calibur. DARK SPROCKET’S armor does more than just preserve his life, but it is also fitted with high tech weaponry supplied by the K.R.O.N.O.S. organization that allows DARK SPROCKET to fufill his tasks. Possibly one of JET BOY’S most skilled adversaries, DARK SPROCKET has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with.
