I know it’s been a while since I last did an update here on the site, but I had to take a second to talk about FITE KLUB. For the past four months we have been developing an art collective of some of the most talented up and coming artists in the area. Myself, along with my old college buddies Jake Williams and Ben Murray, and my old friend and co worker, Brian Hollins, started the new version of FITE KLUB, and we have a few things brewing in the next few months. First, the launch of our website, www.fiteklubstudios.com! The site itself should be up and runnng by August 1st. In October, we will officially launch FITE KLUB COMICS. we will go to print with our first published comic, SHADOWCLUB KARMA! It will drop in October along with my CINEMATIX VOL. 1 : MANIACZ art book. We did our first con in Monroe, NC this past Saturday at the MINI CON, a show I really look forward to doing again next year. July 18th we will be attacking atlanta for a one day show there. THE ATLANTA COMIC CON. Date: Sunday July 18 2010 Time: 11am – 5pm Loctions: COBB GALLERIA CENTRE. 2 GALLERIA PARKWAY. ATLANTA, GA 30339. We will also be attending WIZARD WORLD ATLANTA december 3rd-5th at the same address. Then it’s back to Charlotte for the Charlotte comic con on Dec. 18th. That same month Jake and I will be dropping two more comics under the FKC imprint. Jake will be doing LETHAL FORCE and I will be dropping JET BOY: ALL JETS GO! Both will drop on DEC. 19th. Be on the lookout in December also for Fite Klub’s first art book. Name and Date TBA.
Back in 2005, I decided to assemble a four man crew of myself, and three of the illest artists I knew at that time to form an art crew…not a studio…but a collective of artists to meet up at least four times a year to put out an art collection of our works in the form of quarterly art books. We started on getting our pieces together, but other obligations and the distance between the members, we parted ways before anything was ever printed. Now fast forward, five years later, my mission to resurrect the crew with new members is a success. And this crew of artists are just as LETHAL as the orginal.
